This course consists of 30 videos broken down into a number of sections with each section having individual videos that explore history taking, diagnosis and treatment techniques.
The video footage is based around an osteopathic technique course on treating low back pain course that I ran earlier this year.
I produced thic course because video is such a great way to teach as it enables you see a technique in action then to go and practice and try it out then to come back re-watch the video again in order to hone your skills. And of course you can come back and re study the video as often as you like, as each time you'll learn something different as you bring to it new insight from having used that technique with patients and seen what worked and what was difficult.
This is why the course content leans towards teaching techniques, you will see from the course outline below that there are far more videos on technique than on history and diagnosis.
With the regard to these technique videos - demonstrations and an explanation of how to do a technique is first given. Then there are videos of the techniques being carried out by osteopaths who have never seen these techniques before. This is invaluable as it enables you to observe and listen to the discussion around fine tuning how these techniques work.
